Washington: Elon Musk has said that there are flaws in the US government’s payment system, and that half of it is fraudulent.
Half of the US government’s money is embezzled.

Trump took office as US President on the 20th of last month. He has created a government department called the Department of Good Governance (DOGE) to reduce government spending. The department is headed by Elon Musk, a famous businessman who supported Trump during the presidential election.
In a statement released by Elon Musk on the ‘X’ social network, he said: “The DOGE team and the US Treasury Department have agreed to make the following decisions.
When paying for all government expenses, it is necessary to mention the ‘payment code’. This is necessary for financial auditing. However, since it is not mentioned, auditing is difficult.
In all payments, the reason for the payment should be mentioned in the comment section. This is also currently left blank. The order not to pay money to fraudsters or those suspected of being dead or associated with a terrorist organization should be implemented immediately. It should not be ignored.
It has been a year since we received this list. This is a long time. If not daily, then this list should be checked at least once a week.
These necessary changes should be implemented by long-serving civil servants. It is absurd that this is not already the case.
I was told yesterday that $100 billion (Rs. 9 lakh crore in Indian currency) is being paid out to individuals annually, without any provisional figures. If this is correct, I have serious doubts about it.
The Treasury Department says that half of this is fraud. This is absolutely insane. It needs to be addressed immediately. Elon Musk said in the post.
