With the aim of becoming the leader in the electric vehicle sector, the Tamil Nadu government is planning to approach the World Bank to prepare a roadmap for it.
Tamil Nadu, which is a leader in vehicle manufacturing, wants to maintain its position in electric vehicle manufacturing as well.
Following this, it has been reported that World Bank officials are coming to Chennai today; several officials from the automotive industry and government departments will meet them and hold consultations.
Officials from the Tamil Nadu Electricity Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANJETCO) and the investor assistance center “Gaidans” are said to be meeting World Bank officials.

In this context, the state government is planning to seek the help of the World Bank in electric vehicle production projects to continue Tamil Nadu’s dominance in the automotive industry.
