Germany tesla car sales fall: Tesla founder Elon Musk’s political criticism has led to a sharp decline in January sales of Tesla cars in three major European markets, with sales down 63 percent in France, 59.50 percent in Germany, and 12 percent in the UK.
Why are Tesla sales dropping
It is said that Elon Musk interferes in the politics of these countries, criticizes the presidents, political leaders and policies of these countries, and people who do not agree with him refuse to buy Tesla cars.
That is, Musk has called German Chancellor Olaf Scholz an idiot and President Walter Steinmeier a dictator.
Similarly, after Musk expressed his support for Germany’s right-wing AfD party, French President Macron criticized him for interfering in European politics.
In Britain, Musk also criticized the country’s energy and environmental policies and Brexit. Such criticisms have caused dissatisfaction among the people of these countries, and people have boycotted Tesla cars.
In the electric vehicle market, competition between Chinese and European companies and reductions in subsidies for electric vehicles have also caused a decline in Tesla car sales in these countries.
As a result, Europeans are reportedly more interested in buying Volkswagen, BMW, Jaguar, and Mini electric cars instead of Tesla cars.
