guys today we’re going to be talking about five features that Samsung hid in one UI 5.0 on purpose and uh these are some things that are not only built in directly into one UI 5.0 but also some apps that were released specifically for one UI 5.0, and android 13 features..
Samsung launch so there are five things,
Samsung one ui launch so there are five things here I have in my little Google keep document the first one is Bixby call screen so Bixby call screen is something you can find inside of the dialer the phone app go into the three dot menu and go into settings and you’ll see it right here it’s called Bixby text call I put the wrong number wrong name down in my uh keep document but the idea is basically,

the same as what you see on the pixel devices with Google’s call screen feature. When someone calls, you can tap a button and Bixby will
basically answer the call for you and then transcribe what the person on the other end is saying so you can take action on the call now unfortunately the reason they hid this here in the US specifically and didn’t really make a big deal about it is because as you can see here it’s only available in Korean,
right now and that of course makes it not so useful here in the US where not very many people probably speak Korean but I do have it set up just to kind of mess around with Spam callers so when I get a Spam call I can have Bixby answer it in Korean it’s pretty funny I’ve been enjoying playing around.
with it now the good news is this is coming in January to North America to the U.S with English support So if you’re looking forward to this feature it’s a really cool feature it’s going to be a powerful feature basically having the
Google call screen, which is like
functionality of Google call screen which I love in my pixel on my Samsung device.
when I go over the future in English the next one is the registar app now this is actually a new good lock module that arrived with the new version of good lock that came directly after one UI 5.0 came out and this module is fantastic it’s actually if you go into good lock and you scroll to the life upside that’s where a registrar is you can find it in the Galaxy store..
on this already registrar is a fantastic new module for good luck that allows you to not only customize how the settings look in your default settings history you can customize how your home settings look like the menu order the groupings all those things you can turn them on Off remove settings if you don’t like something or don’t use it,
that often you can hide your personal email whatever you want to do from the settings but you also have these backtab and side key actions that allow you to enable very specific triggers like screenshots accessing a voice assistant Etc only specific to those of us running one UI 5.0 so even though it’s not technically a built-in one UI 5.0 feature,
if you want to use it you need to be running Android 13 and one UI 5.0 uh the next one is the multitasking Labs menu so this is the new version of multitasking that’s arrived in one UI 5.0 and if you go into your settings menu you’re going to find it under Advanced features the standard Labs menu so if you go in here go to the labs menu you’ll see right here.
you’ve got multi-window for swipe for pop-up View and swipe for split screen now what this allows you to do is if you’re in an app like Twitter for instance you want to go into pop-up view you can just swipe from the top it’ll go directly in pop-up view you can also swipe up to get into split screen these gestures make it a lot more convenient and a lot simpler to utilize your multitasking gestures and it’s certainly something that’s made me use it a lot more as you guys can see here with the keep document.
I like to use multitasking a lot especially when I’m making videos helps with planning the videos setting it up and also keeping my notes handy while I’m trying to present something for you guys so that is a cool new feature and it is inside the labs menu so it’s something you’d have to enable up next is the gallery Labs menu which I’ve actually mentioned in a past video it’s a very fun option if you go into your stock.
Samsung gallery go to the three lines menu at the bottom and tap on settings scroll down to the bottom where it says about gallery now what you want to do is tap on the version number repeatedly and it will enable the Galaxy Labs option so if you go back you’ll see here this Gallery Labs will be enabled at the very bottom this is not there by default you do have to enable it by tapping multiple times on the version,
number you go in here there’s some very useful options mainly again like a lot of the labs features for developers but some cool options that I like to use like video preview on the picture list timeline the album which groups your album view by date clusters them together timeline the search album which again clusters your search albums by date and improves Zoom performance,
Which is actually a very useful Ui 5.0
which is actually a very useful one as well in the image viewer so there’s a couple of things in here that you might find interesting you can and add extra details to your photos show cached images and details there’s a lot of fun stuff to play with and if you’re someone who really is into photography getting some of that extra information definitely,
makes a difference and makes it more exciting to use your phone the last feature is the camera assistant module now this is another one kind of like registar where it’s not a built-in one UI 5.0 feature but camera assistant came out right after one UI 5.0 this one’s actually independent it’s right there of good luck so it is a good lock.
module but you can download it separately from good lock in the Galaxy store you can turn on some amazing stuff in here including Auto HDR you can turn off auto Lin switching so you can make sure you’re using the lens you want to use when you’re taking a photo you can also turn on faster shutter which is one I’ve talked about a deep dive on this app and went in depth on a lot of the features faster shutter is definitely.
one of the things that people complain about in the Galaxy s22 Ultra being able to enable that really makes a difference with taking photos on this phone so I highly recommend the camera assistant app again you can find in the Galaxy store you don’t have to have good lock to get this even though it will show up if you have good lock installed inside the good lock modules so you see it’s right there in mine all right. Guys, thanks for readings please comment box your suggestions…
